MUSIC FOR LIFE 2023

The Lawman Lynch Foundation Inc. (LLF) flagship fundraiser, MUSIC for LIFE, returns on Saturday May 13, 2023; after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since our inception in 2008, we have raised financial and other resources to provide a social safety net for children, youth and the elderly in communities across Jamaica; and since 2012, have been doing the same in Brooklyn New York.

Last year, with very limited resources, we provided close to 2 million JMD in academic grants to vulnerable students, and it is our aim to double that investment for the academic year 2023-2024. We will solidify our partnership with the University of the West Indies (UWI) Social Work Training and Research Center to streamline the support we give to parenting and youth groups. Additionally, we are strengthening our social services initiatives in collaboration with the Salvation Army (Allman Town), by funding back-to-school initiatives, providing book vouchers, school uniforms and other educational necessities to needy families in marginalized communities.

In celebration of our 15th Anniversary, at MUSIC for LIFE 2023, we will honor the contributions of 15 individuals who have made, and continue to make significant contributions to child, youth and community development in the Caribbean and the Caribbean Diaspora, with the 2023 Foundation Awards.
